We believe in the power of education to change lives and help the community. A large part of the McCulloch Foundation mission is promoting and funding education in design, building, renovation, preservation and remodeling. Very specialized educational programs, internships and apprenticeships are required to be able to work in these areas, and we want to help make it happen for those passionate about preserving and beautifying the built environment.
We work with educational partners (high schools, community colleges, universities, certificate programs, and other organizations), help people make connections with businesses and organizations in the community who can give on-the-job training and mentoring, and provide scholarships for educational programs in the fields of design and preservation.
Our design and preservation interns help provide affordable design assistance to low income owners of homes wishing to renovate and improve their homes in ways that fit in with the history of the neighborhood they live in.
Please contact us if you are passionate about historic preservation, renovation, remodeling, and architectural design that maintains the character of historic homes and neighborhoods. Or if you are a business or organization that would like to connect with people who are learning about building, preservation, and design to help with their on-the-job training. We believe very strongly in helping upcoming experts in historic preservation, thoughtful architectural designers and talented remodelers and connecting them with mentors and work that can help them hone their skills.
